We believe that the heavens
and earth were called by the Creator's word from non-existence
into existence and that that same Word became flesh and
dwelt among us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth; the promised
Christ and agent of our reconciliation with God whom he
taught was a loving father.
We believe that each
person is created in the image of God and therefore merits
consideration as a person of infinite dignity and worth
and that our highest destiny is to know and worship God.
This destiny is made possible by the grace of Christ
received through repentance and salvation.
We believe that salvation
is the restoration of relationship with God and that
this is necessary because estrangement is the result
of sin; an enslavement to self. This restoration
is made possible through the gift of forgiveness and
the infusion of a new nature received through confession
and filling of God's Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Holy
Spirit, the indwelling presence of God, leads believers
into the Church; the messianic community visibly expressed
through local congregations, organized in various modes
and scattered throughout the world. All members of
the church are privileged by the Spirit to share in the
ministry and mission of Christ and proclaim in word and
deed the values of God's kingdom until Christ returns.
