Welcome! Costa Rica Trip Information

Calvary youth and adults who love them will partner with Students International to learn and serve in several communities in and around Desamparados in  the southern part of Costa Rica’s capital city of San Jose.  Potential ministry sites include a boys & girls club, community & environmental health, creative arts workshop, education, social work, micro-enterprise, sport & recreation and women’s health & fitness.  The trip includes homestays with local families and the opportunity to visit a coffee growing operation.

Cost $2,000 per participant

Covers meals, lodging, transportation, project resources, programing, evening activities and the round trip flight to San Jose. Fundraising will help, but team members are responsible for their trip costs following this timeline:

  • Nov 1, 2020 - $100 deposit due with application (refundable until Jan 15, 2021)

  • Jan 15, 2021 - 25% trip fee paid & SI application due

  • May 1, 2021 - 50% trip fee paid, immunizations, and a copy of passport due

  • July 1, 2021 - 100% trip fee paid
