Calvary’s Immigration

Enforcement Response

Calvary Baptist Church stands in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and against the violent and unjust practices being deployed in our neighborhood, city, and state as part of federal immigration enforcement.

We join our voices with others in calling for an immediate end to “Operation Metro Surge,” for those responsible for perpetrating violence and violating the constitutional rights of citizens and non-citizens alike to be held accountable, and for our current immigration policies and practices to be fundamentally rethought and reimagined.

Connect

All are welcome at Calvary’s Sunday services 10am, when there is something for all ages. Services are also live-streamed on YouTube. Wednesday night programming has additional opportunities for adults, youth, and kids.

For more information about how to connect with others at Calvary, email us.

Serve

Many opportunities exist to support our neighbors who are being directly impacted by enforcement activities, as well as those working on the front lines to serve and advocate for them.

To join in these acts of service with Calvary, email us.

Give

A fund has been created to assist vulnerable families who have connections to the Calvary community to support their urgent and critical needs.

Gifts should be marked “Neighbors” and can be made online or at the church.

Calvary’s Response

Calvary is proactively leading efforts to support the broader community as it wrestles with the effects of increased federal immigration enforcement.

Calvary’s response reflects a long-standing commitment to the practices of mercy, justice, and humility, which Jesus embodied in his life. We believe every person is created with dignity and deserves safety, compassion, and respect.

Learn more about Calvary’s mission, vision, and values here and our Land Acknowledgement & Commitments here.

Calvary calls on those near and far to join with them in the pursuit of justice and hospitality by advocating for neighbors being targeted, supporting the needs of those whose resources have become sparse, and engaging in a mutual exchange of emotional and spiritual support with those around us.
